La realizzazione della villa Pinciana fu avviata nel 1600 dal cardinale Scipione Caffarelli Borghese, da cui prese il nome.
La tenuta fu concepita nello stile di di una villa romana classica e il parco circostante fu diviso in tre sezioni: una foresta, una zona artistica e un’area selvaggia e naturale.
Tra le ville romane è una delle più ricche di testimonianze artistiche e paesaggistiche.
Al suo interno racchiude edifici storici, sculture, monumenti, fontane, opere di illustri artisti dell’arte barocca, neoclassica ed eclettica, contornati da alberi secolari, laghetti, giardini.
Ritratta da artisti famosi, ispiratrice di celebri musiche e intense pagine di letteratura, Villa Borghese lascia trasparire ancora oggi, negli scorci inattesi del suo parco, lo splendore di un tempo.
Una passeggiata nel verde in un luogo perfetto per fuggire dalla confusione della città, scoprendo tra sentieri e aiuole, angoli nascosti che emanano romanticismo e tranquillità.

The most famous park in Rome, Villa Borghese is located in the heart of
the city.
It is a great safety valve to escape the noise and bustle of the Italian capital.
Cardinal Scipione Caffarelli Borghese purchased the land in 1612 and began
to landscape the area.
The estate was designed in the style of a classical Roman villa and
surrounding park was divided into three sections: a forest, an artistic
area and a wilderness. 
Among the Roman villas it is one of the richest of artistic and scenic testimonies.
Containing historic buildings, sculptures, monuments, fountains,
works of illustrious artists from the baroque and  neoclassical art,
surrounded by ancient trees, ponds, gardens. 
Portrayed by famous artists, inspiring of famous music and intense
pages of literature, Villa Borghese exudes even today, in unexpected
glimpses of its park, the splendor of the past. 
A walk in the green, discovering among paths and flower beds, hidden corners
emanating romanticism and tranquility.
