Anche oggi una passeggiata nel cuore di una città molto antica , prepotentemente plasmata nel suo aspetto odierno da una storia lunga e complessa. Una città che riesce a sorprenderti ad ogni angolo con una incredibile bellezza.
Tra i più noti palazzi sedi di istituzioni in Roma v’è indubbiamente il seicentesco Palazzo di Montecitorio, attuale sede della Camera dei Deputati della Repubblica italiana. 
Fu iniziato da Gian Lorenzo Bernini, continuato da Carlo Fontana e ultimato con l’attuale aspetto in stile liberty dall’architetto Ernesto Basile.
Dalla meravigliosa facciata posteriore che affaccia su piazza del Parlamento, uscendo su via del Corso si incontra uno degli edifici più grandi e più importanti dell’Urbe. Uno dei più belli.
Vi si accede da un cortile interno con splendide arcate rinascimentali e un profumato giardino con alberi di agrumi ed ospita una galleria di inestimabile valore.
Quella del Palazzo Doria Pamphilj è una delle più
prestigiose collezioni private d’arte visitabili a Roma.
Vi risiedono ancora gli eredi
della nobile prosapia cui appartennero, tra gli altri, Andrea Doria
(1466-1560), ammiraglio della Repubblica di Genova, e papa Innocenzo X,
al secolo Giovanni Battista Pamphilj (1574-1655).
Proprio a quest’ultimo è “riservata” una sala del bellissimo museo
ospitato nel Palazzo, creata dallo stesso
Pontefice nel XVI secolo.
L’ampia raccolta di pitture, arredi e statue che
comprendono lavori di Jacopo Tintoretto, Tiziano, Raffaello Sanzio,
Correggio, Caravaggio, Guercino, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Parmigianino,
Gaspard Dughet, Jan Brueghel il Vecchio, Velázquez e molti altri artisti
importanti, rappresenta il trionfo dell’arte nel cuore della capitale.
Sin dalla prima sala lo sfarzo degli appartamenti stordisce e
abbaglia con i suoi gialli, i suoi rossi, le
sue dorature. Altissime pareti arredate da quadri, tendaggi, velluti pesanti, sete di gran pregio,
specchi e lampadari, che caratterizzano i vari ambienti ove la bellezza esplode incontenibile.
Indosso un outfit casual chic, una felpa, pantaloni modello culotte ed un paio di mocassini super trendy, per lasciarmi alle spalle per un pò il
rumore della metropoli contemporanea ed immergermi nella Roma del
Seicento.

del Corso you will find one of the biggest buildings and most important

That of the Palazzo Doria Pamphilj is one of the most prestigious private art collections can be visited in Rome.
The heirs of the noble lineage which belonged, as Andrea Doria (1466-1560), Admiral of the Republic of
Genoa, and Pope Innocent X, born Giovanni Battista Pamphilj (1574-1655), live still there.
The beautiful museum housed in the
palace was created by the same Pontiff in the sixteenth century.The
extensive collection of paintings, furniture and statues which include
works by Jacopo Tintoretto, Titian, Raphael, Correggio, Caravaggio,
Guercino, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Parmigianino, Gaspard Dughet, Jan
Brueghel the Elder, Velazquez and many other important artists, is the triumph of art in the heart of the capital.
