The old prison of Procida is a complex overlooking Terra Murata, the highest promontory of the island.
It’s a Renaissance palace built in 1568 by Innico D’Avalos
(from family of the Aragonese court) and later converted into a prison,
around 1830, when the Bourbons decided to transform the fort into a “penal
colony.”
An aside, that of the prison, which lasted 150 years.
The jail closed its doors in 1988 and is today a memory habitats,
within which, apart from the tumultuous development of the vegetation,
everything seems to have crystallized.
Three centuries of history in a truly charming place: a beautiful and impressive building overlooking the sea. A place that is particularly identity and history.
Dusty details reminiscent of imprisonment -slits, rusty camp beds, gratings that hint at the blue sea- everything here is suggestion.
Along with the prison environment there are the wind and a poignant
scene, other elements of fascination of a hard and beautiful place, at
the same time.
I’m wearing an overcoat in a checked pattern, which confirms one of the trendiest prints for the new season.

What a place … if this building could talk I think you could hear for example horrible stories. But your outfit is everything other than horrible: I really like it how you combined the vichy blouse with the white shorts!
