Il mio secondo giorno a Istanbul. 

Sono letteralmente rapita dalla bellezza del campus universitario della città, a Beyazid. Dai giardini ampi e curatissimi e dal fascino degli edifici dall’architettura ricca di motivi islamici tradizionali, che scopro oltrepassando l’enorme cancello d’ingresso. 
E poi, da lontano, uno sguardo al ponte sul Bosforo, sospeso a cavi parabolici, lungo oltre un chilometro e mezzo, che attraversa lo stretto e consente di collegare il quartiere di Ortaköy, sul lato europeo di Istanbul, con la parte asiatica della città.
Ortaköy è il quartiere famoso per la sua magnifica Moschea costruita in stile neogotico, che affaccia direttamente sull’acqua, all’ombra del ponte sullo stretto. Al suo interno le pareti color perla, le ampissime vetrate attraverso le quali filtra la luce ondulata dell’acqua, e i numerosi lampadari di cristallo fatti cadere fin quasi a terra, le donano una grazia senza pari.
Indosso una salopette in denim bianca, un paio di comode sneakers e i miei nuovi occhiali “cat-eye” di Vogue visti su Sunglasses Shop Italia, lo store di occhiali da sole online con tutti i modelli più cool.  
Desidero attraversare quel ponte per poter percepire  concretamente la multiculturalità profonda di quella che fu la capitale di un grande impero.

My second day in Istanbul.  
I’m literally kidnapped by the beauty of the University of the city, in Beyazid district. The large, manicured gardens and the charm of the buildings with
plenty of traditional Islamic motifs, that I discover past the huge entrance
gate. 
And
then, from far away, a look at the Bosphorus Bridge, suspended by parabolic cables, over one and a half kilometer long, running through the narrow and
allows you to connect the district of Ortaköy, on the European side of
Istanbul, to the Asian side of the city. Ortaköy neighbourhood is famous for its magnificent Neo-Gothic Mosque, which overlooks the water, in the shadow of the bridge across the
Straits. Inside of it, the pearl color walls, the wide windows through which the light of wavy water filters, and the numerous crystal chandeliers dropped almost
to the ground, give it an unmatched grace. I’m wearing a white denim overalls, with comfy sneakers and my

Let me cross that bridge to perceive concretely the profound multiculturalism than that which was the capital of a great empire.
