Ci sono momenti in cui la vita regala attimi di bellezza inattesa. Ti accorgi che attorno a te tutto è perfetto. 
Ho sempre sognato di trascorrere le mie calde giornate estive in Grecia, la terra degli dei, dove tutto sembra mitico e magico. Un sogno fantastico, uno di quelli dal quale vorresti non svegliarti mai.
Sono a Mykonos, nota come la parte più cosmopolita di tutta la Grecia, l’isola che ha tutto da offrire: dalle splendide spiagge da cartolina, alla vita notturna, senza dimenticare l’ottimo cibo.
I colori della terra e delle brulle colline che circondano le pittoresche baie di pescatori, situate tra l’aura di un cielo incredibilmente blu e un mare cristallino e profondo, la sua superba architettura lineare cicladica, con le sue linee essenziali, le  tradizionali  e  pittoresche  case cubiche bianche  con  i  tetti  piatti, le porte  e le finestre  di  legno  dipinte  di  blu  e i balconi  pieni  di  fiori.  Si  ha come l’impressione di caminare in un labirinto casuale, un groviglio fatto di piccole e strette stradine, in cui è piacevole vagabondare e perdersi tra angoli pittoreschi e scorci mozzafiato.
Impossibile non menzionare i mulini a vento, marchi dell’isola, unica fonte di reddito in passato, e le centinaia di piccole chiese dal tetto  a cupola rosso, che aggiungono cultura, rendendo particolarmente scenografico l’insieme.
Ecco perchè questa magica isola è spesso indicata come “il gioiello” del Mar Egeo.
Il mio sogno lo sto vivendo qui.
Indosso una leggera blouse in seta a pois colorati, un grande classico che torna protagonista per questa estate 2017, mentre il caldo vento isolano soffia sul mio viso e ammiro uno dei mari più limpidi che abbia mai visto.

In a different life, I found myself spending endless summer nights and hot summer days in Greece.
I am happy that I got to live my myth in Greece. For as soon as I stepped into this land of the gods everything about it seemed magical and mythical.  It felt like a really great dream…the ones you don’t want to wake up from.  
Better known as the cosmopolitan party island, Mykonos has everything to offer from amazing beaches to great night life and let’s not mention the food which also deserves its own post. 
Mykonos is a great example of unique Cycladic architecture set around a picturesque fishing-village bay. Totally whitewashed organic cube-like buildings fit closely together to form a kind of haphazard maze of narrow alley ways and streets. The earth colors of the bare hills which surround the town’s  whiteness, it is set between the aura of an incredibly blue sky and even deeper blue sparkling sea. Its many well-preserved windmills and hundreds of tiny red-roofed churches add a flavor of culture and custom to the scene. Together with being friendly and open people, the locals have a healthy understanding of what it means to have a good time. 
Put this together with all the island’s other qualities and it is no wonder Mykonos has been often named “the jewel” of the Aegean Sea.
