L’Irpinia è una terra unica, tradizionalmente vocata alla produzione di vini di pregio.
Il rituale della vendemmia da sempre porta con sé un grande fascino, oltre che un valore storico e
antropologico. Si tratta di un vero e proprio “evento” annuale di
lavoro e condivisione sociale nel territorio. Il processo
si divide in varie fasi, ma tutto comincia con la raccolta delle uve.
Da millenni, le mani del contadino durante la vendemmia compiono gli
stessi gesti, nella stessa stagione, dando origine a quel “nettare degli
dei” che accompagna da sempre i momenti lieti e quelli sacri, il vino.
Sono in una zona suggestiva, tra le più belle d’Irpinia, alle falde del Monte Faliesi.
Qui nasce “Cantine Faliesi” un’azienda a conduzione familiare, una nuova e promettente realtà enologica, un connubio perfetto tra tecnologia e rispetto del territorio.
Grazie a loro ho potuto vivere uno dei rituali più affascinanti dell’agricoltura, quello che rende partecipe l’uomo ad un processo naturale ancestrale.
Tra gli splendidi colori autunnali della campagna irpina, indosso un lunghissimo abito in seta, la stampa è raffinata, romantici piccoli fiori nelle tinte della terra e del vino, abbinate al verde scuro dei pampini delle viti: un parka ricamato, una piccola borsa a tracolla e i miei nuovi stivali Sorel, il brand canadese specializzato in calzature di ottima qualità e ineguagliabile tenuta contro gli agenti atmosferici.

The region of Irpinia  is a unique land, traditionally devoted to the production of fine wines. 
The ritual of the grape harvest has always a great charm, as well as a historical and anthropological value. It is a real “annual event” of work and social sharing in the territory. The process is divided into several phases, but everything starts with grape harvesting. 
For millennia, the hands of the farmer during the harvest make the
same gestures in the same season, giving rise to that “nectar of the
gods”, the wine that always accompanies the happy and sacred moments.
I am in a fascinating area, one of the most beautiful of Irpinia, at the foot of Monte Falies.
Here were founded by two young brothers Ciro and Antonello Urciuolo the “Cantine Faliesi”,
a new promising winemaking company, the perfect combination of technology
and respect for the territory, run by the family with attention and dedication. 
Thanks to Urciuolo family I have been able to live one of the most charming rituals of agriculture, which makes man participate in an ancestral
natural process.
Among
the beautiful autumn colors of the Irpina countryside, I wear a long
silk dress, the print is refined, romantic little flowers in the colors
of earth and wine, combined with the dark green of the leaves of the grapevines: an embroidered parka, a small cross-body bag and my new Sorel boots, the Canadian brand specialized in
high-quality shoes and unique sealing against weathering.
