Ci sono capi che inevitabilmente ci riportano alla mente immagini, icone, film, e serie TV.
È il caso dei costumi da bagno one-piece di colore rosso, sgambati, anzi sgambatissimi, con profonda scollatura sulla schiena e senza coppe preformate, ferretti e imbottiture sul seno, simbolo della prosperità fisica a cui ci aveva
abituato la splendida Pamela Anderson, lasciando alla gamba, il predominio
estetico della silhouette.
Il collegamento è unico e immediato: Baywatch, serie TV cult degli anni ’90.
E quest’estate, con il lancio del film remake, questo modello di costume intero sembra essere di grande tendenza, insieme al ritorno dei capi must-have di quei mitici anni, dai crop top ai mom jeans.
Il fashion revival non poteva essere più cool e puntuale di così. 
Si chiama Bay-kini, slancia tantissimo e le gambe sembrano incredibilmente lunghe.
Ho indossato un gilet salvagente sul mio costume rosso, accessoriato da un binocolo ed una radio walkie-talkie, e mi sono sentita anch’io immediatamente parte di Baywatch.
E poi, al tramonto, è bastato indossare un kimono sullo stesso costume per essere perfetta per un happy hour su una delle spiagge più in della Costa Azzurra.

Baywatch swimsuits are back… because we’ve always wanted to be a Baywatch bae.
Summer 2017 is the summer of ‘high-cut’ swimwear.
With the hugely popular remake of 90’s classic Baywatch hitting cinemas last month in the UK, the scarlet-hued swimsuit is experiencing something of a rebirth in 2017.
A major trend of the 90’s, wholly due to Pamela Anderson on Baywatch, the high cut-style is all about clean-cut styles and high leg lines.
An updated, more risqué alternative to the high-waisted styles that we’ve been growing more and more partial to the high-cut helps to keep your silhouette streamlined and sleek.
I was very eager to wear the life-vest with my binoculars and a walkie-talkie, to feel like a true lifeguard once I got to my station. The red swimsuit and everything else made me feel immediately like I was part of Baywatch. 
And then at
sunset, it was enough to wear a kimono cover-up on the same swimsuit to be perfect
for a happy hour on one of the trendiest beaches in the Côte d’Azur.
