Sono in una delle più importanti città commerciali d’arte del mondo, con più di 50 musei e oltre 100 gallerie, con collezioni di assoluto rilievo.
A pochi passi dal via vai della Zurigo internazionale, situato tra la stazione centrale e il Platzspitz Park, nel cuore della metropoli elvetica, sorge, come un castello sperduto, il Landesmuseum, il Museo Nazionale Svizzero.
La struttura ospita la più grande raccolta della storia della cultura svizzera, dalla Preistoria ad oggi.
La storia elvetica in un castello delle fiabe.
Un edificio ultracentenario dove, all’interno delle sue mura, il passato torna in vita: l’eredità materiale, dagli oggetti di artigianato fino ai semplici strumenti della vita quotidiana, ci racconta come vivevano, cosa pensavano e cosa provavano le generazioni del passato.
Il castello, realizzato da Gustav Gull nel XIX secolo e successivamente dichiarato monumento storico, è un insieme di stili diversi in un conglomerato architettonico che ha fatto scuola anche all’estero e che incanta con le sue torri, feritoie, scudi, perfettamente conservati, e affascina con il suo parco e la straordinaria vista sul lago, incarnando magnificamente il legame tra storia e presente.
Una tappa imprescindibile per chi arriva nella città sulla Limmat.
Il mio outfit? Decisamente comodo, una calda giacca in pelo e un paio di jogging pants, per visitare una città sofisticata, culturalmente attiva, amante di tutto ciò che è cultura e bellezza.

The Landsmuseum, the Swiss National Museum is located in a nineteenth-century historical building at the confluence of the Limat and Sihl Rivers right next to the Main Railway Station, and the Platzspitz Park, in downtown Zurich. 
It houses the largest collection of cultural-historical objects in the country.
The museum building is over 100 years old and resembles a fairytale castle. 
History comes alive behind its thick walls: how did past generations live, think and feel? 
The material heritage they left behind, handicrafts or mundane everyday objects, provides us with answers, from prehistoric times to the present.
The castle, built by Gustav Gull was declared a historical monument, is a collection of different architectural styles that has made school abroad and that enchants with its towers, louvers, shields, perfectly preserved, and captivates with its park and the extraordinary view of the lake, beautifully embodies the link between past and present.
The Landesmuseum is the largest culture and history museum in Switzerland and a top sightseeing attraction in Zurich.
What about my outfit? Very comfortable, a warm fur jacket combined with jogger pants, to visit a sophisticated and culturally active city, a clear example of an intense love for knowledge and beauty.
