Una passeggiata attraverso il labirinto di corridoi stretti della città di Mykonos, caratteristici percorsi in ciottoli bianchi e neri, stradine di pochi metri di larghezza, adornate con fiori rosa e viola, tra le quali è facile perdersi.
Incastonati nelle strette viuzze curattissime botteghe di souvenir, boutique eleganti, gallerie d’arte, club esclusivi e ristoranti caratteristici. Paradossalmente, semplici punti vendita di artigianato locale coesistono con lussuosi negozi di grandi griffes come Chanel, Dior, Ferragamo, Gucci e Louis Vuitton. 
Impossibile rinunciare a una passeggiata in Matoyianni street, un esempio di come un piccola strada possa diventare un elegante salotto pieno di affscinanti punti di attrazione.
Perdendomi nel labirinto, cammino su e giù fermandomi ad ammirare un paio di sandali tempestati di cristalli luccicanti e i gioielli preziosi che brillano da una vetrina. Mi soffermo, più avanti, ad ascoltare il sound vibrante di una musica che vien fuori da un bar très chic.
Indosso un completo in leggera tela blu chambray, reso più vivo da accessori rosso fuoco, mentre, dopo aver vagato per pò comincio a sentirmi smarrita, ma la dolce brezza della sera so che mi dirigerà sempre verso il mare e verso il piccolo porto della città.

Winding this way and that, the narrow corridors of Mykonos town are a maze of characteristic black and white cobblestoned pathways.  Nestled into the streets are shops, posh boutiques, art galleries, souvenir kiosks, stylish bars and quaint restaurants.  Paradoxically, simple craft shops coexist with sparkling high-end designer stores such as Chanel, Dior, Ferragamo, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.
It’s a well-known fact that Mykonos is full of fascinating shopping hot spots that will make you stare in awe! From sunglasses to statement outfits and from decorative pieces of art to precious jewelry, no matter what you want to spend your money on, the choices are endless. Many of the most renowned shops and boutiques in Mykonos are located on or close to Matoyianni street, in the heart of Chora.  Surrendering to the labyrinth, I meander up and down one delightful byway to the next, stopping to admire custom leather sandals in one store window or dazzling jewelry in another. I ponder colorful local crafts and sway to music floating out from a corner cafe.  
I’m wearing a chambray two-pieces, with bright red accessories, while, after wandering like this for awhile, I feel as if I’m lost, but the soft evening breezes wafting up will always point me toward the tiny harbor of the town.
