Belem, la magnifica torre dichiarata patrimonio dell’Unesco, è il simbolo di Lisbona. Una vecchia torre di controllo di straordinaria bellezza, in una scenografica posizione affacciata sul fiume Tago.

Non finisce di stupire per le sue elaborate decorazioni in stile manuelino che si mescolano con le cupole di influenza moresca, con le logge ad arcate, le bifore di tradizione veneziana e le croci dell’Ordine di Cristo.
A pochi passi un’opera colossale, il Monastero dos Jeronimos considerato uno dei capolavori architettonici più belli del mondo, quasi un’esasperazione dello stile gotico.
Imponente, maestoso, luccicante nel suo biancore accecante, incredibilmente ricco di decorazioni. Fu fatto costruire da re Manuel nel 1496 per celebrare i viaggi di Vasco de Gama nelle Indie e la potenza marittima del Portogallo in epoca coloniale e fu dedicato a San Gerolamo il protettore dei marinai. Le sue intricate decorazioni hanno trasformato il convento in una sorta di nave pietrificata, in cui sono rappresentati corde, alghe, coralli, catene, nodi marinai, come a manifestare una vera ossessione per il mare e le navi.
Indosso un vezzoso miniabito “off the shoulder”, lo slang che sta letteralmente per “scesi dalle spalle”, la tendenza easy di stagione che riesce a rendere sofisticato qualsiasi tipo di look, lasciando scoperta una delle zone più sensuali del corpo, donando allure di eleganza e originalità.

Belem, the magnificent tower UNESCO world heritage site, is the symbol of Lisbon. An old control tower of extraordinary beauty, in a scenic location overlooking the Tagus River.It never ceases to amaze for its elaborate Manueline decorations that
mix with the domes of Moorish influences, with arched loggias, mullioned
windows of Venetian tradition and crosses of the Order of Christ.
Just a short walk from there there is a colossal work, the Jeronimos Monastery
considered one of the most beautiful architectural masterpieces in the
world, a great expression of the Gothic style.
Imposing, majestic, shimmering in its blinding whiteness, incredibly rich in decorations. It
was built by King Manuel in 1496 to celebrate the Vasco de Gama travels
to the Indies and the maritime power of Portugal in the colonial era
and was dedicated to Saint Jerome the protector of sailors. Its intricate decorations have turned the convent into a sort of
petrified ship, including representatives ropes, algae, corals, chains,
sailors knots, highlight a real obsession for the sea and ships. 
I was wearing
a lovely “off the shoulder” minidress, the slang that is literally means
“come down from the shoulders,” the easy trend of the season that can
make sophisticated any kind of look, exposing one of the most sensual
areas of the body, giving an allure of elegance and originality.
