Are you used to thinking of Capri as a typical summer destination?
Nothing could be more wrong, in fact, the island has its own particular charm in every season.
The tourist season in Capri begins with Easter and ends on the first weekend of November.
I think the best time to visit Capri is from early April to mid-June and then from early September to late October.
Even though the warm season is drawing to a close, October is a great time to plan a trip to Capri.
-The climate and colors of Capri in autumn-
   Autumn is certainly the best time to visit the island.
It is pure magic to let time pass inexorably, experiencing the relaxation of an island with Mediterranean charm.
The light is golden, the climate is mild, the colors are inflamed with red-orange shades. It is incredible to admire here the views that are tinged with ocher yellow and all the spectacle of the foliage that offers golden-colored scenarios and wait for the magical moment when Capri gives its best and the sun kisses the sea.
There are few tourists around and the waits for the various attractions and its glimpses of considerable historical importance do not last hours, as in summer.
From mid-September the island becomes much quieter, the days are warm and sunny and it is also possible to swim or go boating.
-What to do in Capri in autumn-
    Walks and trekking: it is again the ideal time to dedicate yourself to walking along the paths, the autumn light colors the air with soft and intense tones and the atmosphere is calm and relaxed.
    Shopping: before the long winter closure is the best time to look for some very good deals among the Capri boutiques.
Most shops, hotels, and restaurants close for the winter season on November 3rd.
-Where to stay in Capri in autumn-
    The island boasts many luxury hotels, equipped with indoor and outdoor pools, belvedere, gardens, equipped Spas.
Capri hotels are certainly not cheap accommodations, but in this season there are many hotels that apply discounted rates… so, what better time to indulge in comfort and luxury on vacation?
One of my favorites is Regina Cristina which enjoys an enviable location, just 2 minutes walk from the famous Piazzetta of Capri.

Sei abituato a pensare a Capri come una meta tipicamente estiva?
Nulla di più sbagliato, in realtà l’isola ha il suo fascino particolare in ogni stagione.
La stagione turistica a Capri inizia con la Pasqua e finisce il primo weekend di novembre.
Per me il periodo migliore per visitare Capri va ai primi di aprile alla metà di giugno e poi dai primi di settembre a fine ottobre.
Anche se la stagione calda sta volgendo al termine, ottobre è un ottimo periodo per organizzare un viaggio a Capri.
-Il clima e i colori di Capri in autunno-
   L’autunno è sicuramente il periodo più bello per visitare l’isola.
E’ pura magia lasciare che il tempo scorra inesorabilmente, vivendo il relax di un’isola dal fascino mediterraneo.
La luce è dorata, il clima mite, i colori si infiammano di sfumature rosso-aranciate. E incredibile ammirare qui i panorami che si tingono di giallo ocra e tutto lo spettacolo del foliage che regala scenari a tinte dorate e attendere il momento magico quando Capri dà il meglio di sé e il sole bacia il mare.
In giro ci sono pochi turisti e le attese per le varie attrazioni e i suoi scorci di notevole rilevanza storica  non durano ore, come in estate.
Dalla metà di settembre l’isola diventa molto più tranquilla, le giornate sono calde e soleggiate ed è possibile anche fare il bagno o andare in barca.
-Cosa fare a Capri in autunno-
    Passeggiate e trekking: è di nuovo il momento ideale per dedicarsi alle passeggiate lungo i sentieri, la luce autunnale colora l’aria di toni morbidi e intensi e l’atmosfera è calma e rilassata.
    Shopping: prima della lunga chiusura invernale e il momento migliore per cercare qualche affare tra le boutique capresi.
La maggior parte degli esercizi commerciali, degli hotel e dei ristoranti chiude per la stagione invernale il 3 novembre.
-Dove soggiornare a Capri in autunno-
    Moltissimi sono gli hotel di lusso di cui vanta l’isola, dotati di piscine interne ed esterne, belvedere, giardini, spa attrezzate.
Gli hotel capresi non sono di certo delle sistemazioni economiche, ma in bassa stagione sono tanti gli alberghi che applicano tariffe scontate… dunque, quale momento migliore per concedersi comfort e lusso in vacanza?
Uno dei miei preferiti è il Regina Cristina che gode di una location invidiabile, a soli 2 minuti a piedi dalla famosa Piazzetta di Capri.
