dell’Esposizione Generale Italiana.

One of the highlights of Turin has to be the Borgo Medievale, located in the Parco del Valentino, a large park running along the banks of the river Po.
Built for the Italian General Exhibition of 1884, the complex features reproductions of 15th century buildings and furnishings, which are typical of Piedmont and the Aosta Valley.
A picturesque setting: the village complex of houses and artisans’ workshops, dominated by the Castle, is a small world all to itself.
The Fortress, the lord’s fortified living quarters with its sumptuous rooms, provides a glimpse of everyday life in a Savoy Castle of the 15th century.
It is well worth a visit with its courtyard and kitchens, prison cells and chapel all steeped in a realistic medieval atmosphere.
There’s something about wandering through Park Valentino and coming upon Borgo Medievale after a relaxing stroll through one of Turin’s loveliest parks.
As you approach the village, you wonder if you’ve been transported back in time. This was exactly the idea behind this gothic-style village.
As you wander down its cobblestoned streets, you can imagine yourself retreating in time, this is one of the favorite touristic spots in Turin.

I’m wearing a total black look, made brighter by neutral accessories and more glamorous by a python jacket, while I am immersed in the atmosphere of this charming village through the drawbridge.
