Sono nella piazza chilometro zero della Comunitad Valenciana, cuore pulsante e vivace di una città che denota e ricorda storia, tradizioni e piaceri di una società ospitale.
Plaza della Reina è una delle piazze più movimentate e frequentate di Valencia.
Dedicata alla regina María de las Mercedes di Orleans, prima moglie del re Alfonso XII.
Da qui si dipartono tutte le vie della Città Vecchia e vi si affacciano monumenti, Chiese e Palazzi storici. 
Questa vivace piazza contiene un mix di stili architettonici secolari, ristoranti all’aperto e mercati artigianali stagionali.
In essa si affaccia la porta barocca della mistica Cattedrale di Valencia, detta anche Puertas de los Hierros, per la grata che la circonda.
La Cattedrale è di per sé una struttura imponente che si estende su una varietà di stili architettonici, tra cui barocco, romanico e gotico, che gli hanno conferito un carattere unico nel corso degli anni.
Fu costruita sul sito di un tempio romano nel XIII secolo, trasformato in una moschea in seguito.
Accanto all’ingresso principale v’è un campanile, chiamato il Miguelete, con una scala a chiocciola  che conduce ad una terrazza dalla quale è possibile godere di una vista mozzafiato sulla città.
L’elemento più importante di tutta la Cattedrale è il Santo Graal, il calice con la base ricoperta di oro, perle e pietre preziose che, secondo la tradizione, è stato utilizzato da Cristo durante l’Ultima Cena.
Per questa mia giornata alla scoperta della reliquia intorno alla quale si fonda il culto cristiano, indosso un look easy chic con una felpa abbinata a una lunga gonna plissè in velluto, perchè le gonne diventano un vero passe-partout per l’autunno-inverno 2018-2019 e sono sempre più glam, per outfit ogni volta diversi.
Prima che il sole tramonti in questo anno, brindiamo al nuovo che verrà: che il 2019 sia sempre più radioso, che ogni giorno sia foriero di nuove soddisfazioni, auguri di cuore!

Home to many tourist attractions, Plaza de la Reina is one of the oldest and busiest plazas in Valencia and the city’s beating heart.
It is located in the beautiful heart of the Old Town area and marks the Kilometer 0.
It is an excellent base for exploring the city.
Whether you chose to visit the famous Valencia Cathedral, take a tour of the city, wander the lovely streets of Ciutat Vella, or take the bus to any other place in town, Plaza de la Reina is where you must go.
This lively Valencia Old Town square contains a mix of centuries-old architectural styles, outdoor dining, and seasonal craft markets.
The center of the plaza plays host to a small patch filled with flowers and benches, where visitors can take a break and watch the world go by.
It is bounded by the Cathedral and its bell tower – The Miquelet in the north, and Plaza Santa Catalina with its charming Iglesia in the southwest.
Valencia’s cathedral is an impressive building was founded in the 13th century over a former Moorish mosque and features baroque, Gothic and Roman architecture, the cathedral’s mixed architectural style and adornments have given it its unique character over the years.
Take yourself on a tour around the cathedral to find a sacred chalice that is believed to be the Holy Grail, the cup said to be used during the last supper, withits perfect and exceptional shape, the details in gold, the pearls and the precious gems.
Make your way up the spiral staircase to reach the Miguelete bell tower to enjoy commanding views over the city center.
