Posta all’estremità settentrionale del Golfo di Napoli v’è la bellissima isola di Ischia, a poca distanza da Procida, Vivara e Nisida, con le quali forma l’arcipelago Flegreo. Denominata “Isola Verde”, non tanto per la ricca vegetazione, ma per la particolarità delle rocce di tufo verde che la rendono unica nel suo genere.
Terra in cui la storia si mescola con il mito per dare origine ad una
cultura ancora oggi ricca e interessante, Ischia è celebre in tutto il mondo per le sue sorgenti termali regalo di una divinità o, come sappiamo in epoca moderna, del vulcanismo che interessa l’intera l’area.
Le
proprietà prodigiose delle acque di Ischia sono state ben note fin
dall’antichità romana e anche allora l’isola era probabilmente una delle
stazioni termali più famose per la guarigione di corpo e anima.
Flussi di getti di acqua calda che sgorgano
nel mare e getti di vapore con gas che sgorgano dalle crepe nel terreno
(fumarole) nelle grotte, che vengono utilizzate come una sorta di sauna
nei bagni e nei giardini termali.  
Un’isola romantica che affascina per i suoi colori, profumi e sapori, per il calore degli isolani e del sole del Sud, per le acque cristalline
nelle quali tuffarsi.
Un habitat ideale per lo sviluppo e la conservazione della macchia
mediterranea, grazie a condizioni microclimatiche altamente favorevoli. 
Ogni angolo è suggestivo, incantevole, seducente e come un ultimo inno
all’abbondanza della natura, l’isola ha un clima mite tutto l’anno, tanto
che è conosciuta come “la gemma climatica italiana”.
Ischia è tutto un panorama, ovunque si guardi, di quelli da cartolina, di quelli che tolgono il fiato, come una splendida terrazza sul golfo di Napoli.
Quest’isola affascinante, poliedrica, autentica e di grande cuore è una
delle destinazioni turistiche più gettonate al mondo.
Non sorprende quindi che un luogo di straordinaria bellezza naturale come Ischia sia oggi conosciuto come l’Isola Verde.
Sei sono i Comuni nei quali è divisa l’isola
che si estende per 47 kmq in un’armoniosa oasi di bellezza e relax sapientemente
coniugate e capaci di regalare attimi di profonda serenità.   
Lacco Ameno è il più piccolo tra i suoi Comuni e certamente merita un soggiorno per l’incredibile fascino naturalistico.
Nello specchio di mare antistante al borgo si trova una delle attrazioni locali: uno scoglio dalla forma di fungo, bell’esempio dell’erosione operata nel corso dei secoli da mare e vento.
Sono nel piccolo porto, in pieno centro cittadino e indosso un lungo abito a pois in un ensamble in black & white che, più che un
accostamento di tinte, è una garanzia di stile anche per questa estate 2019, mentre il caratteristico “Fungo”, cartolina-icona dell’isola, è lo sfondo perfetto per il mio shooting.

Ischia faces the gulf of Naples and is part of the Phlegraean island group generated by powerful underwater volcanoes, along with Procida and the deserted Vivara.
It is the largest island in the archipelago of the Campania region, with a surface area of more than 46 sq. Km.
Starting from the 1300’s people have come to soak in the soothing hot springs of Ischia. 
Streams of spouting hot water gushing into the sea as well as steam spouts with gases gushing from cracks in the soil (fumaroles) in caves, which are used as a kind of sauna in baths and thermal gardens.
The prodigious properties of Ischia’s waters have been well-known since ancient Roman times and even then, the island was probably one of the most famous thermal stations for the healing of both body and soul.
The island boasts luxuriant vegetation with large pine groves, widespread chestnut tree woods and fertile hills covered with citrus orchards and vineyards yielding precious wines. Ischia’s most striking feature are its green open spaces, unfolding in their various shades and characterizing the morphology of the entire territory. 
It makes an ideal habitat for the development and conservation of Mediterranean scrubland, thanks to highly favourable micro-climatic conditions. Each corner is striking, enchanting, seductive and as a final ode to nature’s abundance, Ischia has a mild climate all year round, so much so that it is known as “Italy’s climatic gem”.
An all-round holiday destination offering something for everyone. 
This fascinating, multi-faceted, authentic and big-hearted island is one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations.
It’s hardly surprising, then, that a place of such outstanding natural beauty as Ischia is known today as the Green Island.
There are six municipalities in which the island is divided, 47 square kilometers of a harmonious oasis of beauty and relaxation wisely conjugated and capable of giving moments of profound serenity.
Lacco Ameno is the smallest of its Municipalities and certainly deserves a stay for its incredible naturalistic charm.
In the mirror of the sea in front of the village there is one of the local attractions: a mushroom-shaped rock, a fine example of erosion made over the centuries by sea and wind.
I’m walking in the small port, right in the city center and I’m wearing a polka-dot maxi dress in a black & white ensemble that, rather than a combination of colors, is a guarantee of style also for this summer 2019, while the characteristic “Fungo” (the mushroom), the icon of the island, is the perfect background of my pictures.
