Elemento del complesso architettonico mozzafiato, in pieno stile contemporaneo, denominato “Città delle Arti e delle Scienze”, il ponte “L’Assut de l’Or” è una struttura mastodontica, completamente bianca, che esibisce delle lunghe travi cilindriche in acciaio ad alta resistenza, che svettano nel cielo azzurro di Valencia.
Meraviglia urbana progettata dall’architetto Santiago Calatrava e inaugurata nel 2008, dopo quattro anni di lavori.
Fa parte delle architetture avveniristiche dell’artista spagnolo e delle attrazioni che affascinano i turisti di tutto il mondo.
I suoi numeri sono da record. E’ il secondo ponte più grande della Spagna dopo il Puente del Alamillo de Sevilla, misura 180 metri di lunghezza su un’unica
campata, con un arco di 14 metri che corre da un’estremità all’altra e il pilone principale di 125 metri è il punto più alto della città.
Oltre ad essere bello da vedere, è una risorsa strategica per alleviare il traffico in città: sono stimati in 70 mila i mezzi che ogni giorno lo attraversano, il ponte possiede tre carreggiate per senso di marcia ed è riservato
esclusivamente al trasporto pubblico.
E’ di tipo strallato, con spesse funi che sorreggono l’intero complesso, e la struttura ferrea insieme ai cavi emula un’immensa arpa. È una costruzione armoniosa
che combina un’opera di ingegneria con un’estetica impressionante.
L’effetto visivo è ampiamente voluto e perfettamente in linea con lo stile costruttivo di Calatrava.
Estremamente snello, sovrasta esattamente al centro l’Agorà e il Museo della Scienza.
Indosso un cappotto in lana bouclè effetto orsetto, voluminoso, lungo con cintura, dettaglio che lo rende decisamente più chic. Nel classico colore cammello, quello più richiesto di stagione. Un investment-piece, easy-to-wear, caldo, comodo e versatile. Il mio teddy coat, il modello più fashion e glamour di questo inverno 2019, mi accompagna in questa mia ultima giornata nella bellissima Valencia.

The Puente de la Exposicion, the white comblike work by the controversial neo-futuristic architect Santiago Calatrava, spanning the riverbed represents the height of modernity in the face of tradition.
Traditionally known as La Peineta (an ornamental comb) on account of its unique shape, the bridge is a harmonious construction that combines a work of engineering with impressive aesthetics. 
The bridge is built in high-tensile steel and is set on one single span, with a 14-meter high arch running from one end to the other.
With its sloped arch and four lanes of traffic, L’Assut de l’Or Bridge is a faithful representation of what Calatrava strives for with all of his projects: a living work relating to each of its parts.
Situated at the eastern-most edge within the City of Arts and Sciences Complex, the Assut de l’Or Bridge has become one  the most interesting points of the city.
In the middle of this site, the bridge rises with its 126m pylon height as the highest point of the City. 
For some reason, it seems like winter 2019 is really the season of the teddy coat.
Teddy bear coats get their cute moniker from their resemblance to everyone’s favorite childhood stuffed animal, the teddy bear.
I think of them as a way to carry that hygge feeling with me all winter long, with the added bonus of extra warmth.
I chose mine in camel color, an investment-piece, easy-to-wear, on my last day in the beautiful city of Valencia.
