Chic, elegante, sofisticata, dallo spirito rilassato e piacevole, ma, allo stesso tempo, giovane, frizzante e variopinta. Nizza è la capitale della Costa Azurra, rinomata per il suo clima soleggiato, il fascino penetrante della sua luce calda e mediterranea, e la sua ineguagliabile vita mondana.
Meta di villeggiatura dei nobili fin dall’Ottocento, Nizza non ha perduto nel tempo il suo fascino élitario.
Qui l’aria profuma di salsedine e i colori sono esaltati dalla luce che splende sulla città per oltre 300 giorni all’anno. E fu proprio questa luminosità, unita al blu del mare, al giallo ocra dei palazzi in stile Belle Epoque e al verde brillante dei giardini, che fece innamorare di Nizza il pittore Henri Matisse.
La famosa immagine da cartolina della città è quella della Promenade des Anglais, il lungomare voluto dagli inglesi nell’Ottocento, con la sua forma di mezzaluna e le sue caratteristiche sedie blu, ormai benchmark da cui osservare la Baia degli Angeli, sulle quali godersi la brezza marina e i romantici tramonti, con quello sguardo melanconico-chic che solo in Francia…
Una bella passeggiata sulla Promenade è il modo migliore per immergersi nell’atmosfera della Costa Azzurra.
Collegata al rinomato lungomare, la più recente Promenade du Paillon, una nuova passeggiata attraverso un lungo corridoio pedonale di oltre 12 ettari, che segue il percorso del fiume omonimo, animato da 600 alberi, 6 mila arbusti, 50 mila pianticelle, essenze mediterranee ed esotiche, fontane, getti d’acqua, nebulizzatori, chioschi, spazi coperti per il relax e giochi per bambini.
E tra i tanti spazi ludici, una tipica giostra francese, con il suo fascino un pò retrò e un pò romantico, che aggiunge carattere alla città, facendosi apprezzare da adulti e piccini.
Io e la mia Becky, in un nuovo look matchy-matchy, tra cavalli in legno, trenini e carrozze, per un pomeriggio in perfetto stile nizzardo, quello capace di far tendenza in tutto il mondo.

A walk on the Promenade is the best way to dive into the Cote d’Azur atmosphere.Connected to the renowned promenade, the new Promenade du Paillon, a walk through a long pedestrian corridor of over 12 hectares, following the riverbed of Paillon River, animated by 600 Mediterranean and exotic trees, 6,000 shrubs, 50,000 seedlings,  fountains, water jets, nebulizers, kiosks, covered areas for relaxation and games for children.
And among the many playgrounds, a typical French carousel, with its retro and romantic charm, adding character to the city, making it appreciated by adults and children.
