Le donne previdenti sanno che tutto prima o poi torna di moda: i
revival dei grandi temi fashion sono ciclici, e alcune tendenze
perdurano più di altre. 
E’ questo il caso del pied de poule, la trama
optical bicolor ipnotizzante più sofisticata dell’inverno 2020. 
Un classico che va (talvolta) e viene
(molto più spesso).
Il disegno, che imita l’impronta di una
gallina, ritorna per la stagione fredda con qualche
variazione, non solo il classico
bianco e nero, ma esprimendo la sua nuova linfa funny grazie ad accostamenti
cromatici inusuali, quadretti nella versione micro e macro,
ed impiegato nella creazione non solo di capi di abbigliamento ma
soprattutto di accessori: scarpe, borse, cappelli, guanti, sui catwalk si è visto di tutto. 
Uno degli spot di cui Julia Roberts è protagonista per il brand Calzedonia non si sottrae al trend del pied-de-poule in formato macro, a dimostrazione che funziona anche su collant. 
Motivo faro degli anni 50, fu adulato da star come Audrey Hepburn e Coco
Chanel ed è riconosciuto come il simbolo della casa Dior.
E così un vento retrò soffia nei nostri guardaroba, ma in uno spirito graphic chic, l’intramontabile e indiscusso simbolo d’eleganza torna in auge, confermandosi come una delle texture più amate dagli stilisti e diventa glam in uno stile neoborghese per niente “antico”.
Da usare in versione chic durante il
giorno e rock per la sera.
Impregnato di contemporaneità non fa certo fatica a
trovare nuovi proseliti.
Nel mio outfit of the day ho puntato sugli accessori: una statement bag e un paio di collant stampa macro per regalare ad un mini abito girlish un mood vagamente retro ma, al tempo stesso, brioso ed elegante.

This winter’s fashion calls for a mixture of valiant textiles, a timeless yet modern style.
The infamous houndstooth print platforms are a perfect fashion fix for this season. The print ties together a classic primary with modern lines in its representation.
F/W Fashion Week 2020 showcased many bold houndstooth prints and aesthetics on the runway. Countless designers incorporated this classic print in their ready-to-wear collections, aiming to appease the chic woman who likes to keep style eternal.
This trendy print can be combined with absolutely anything for every occasion. This is a duotone textile pattern. Most often we see it in black and white, but today’s fashion designers sell it in multicolor variations.
If you like vibrant garments, then this print gonna make you look brighter and eye-catchy.
Bold, beautiful and bright, honestly, I can’t think of another print I like quite as much as I do houndstooth. The perfect print to wear for this winter.
The checked print can evoke different vibes depending on the size. A larger check pattern gives a mod feel while a smaller print has more of a classic vibe.
You won’t be able to resist wearing it, you’ll see it in every magazine, in each blog, on every celebrity… and when something is everywhere you can either fight it or join the movement.

Now pied de poule can be seen on jackets, dresses but also on shoes, purses, glasses, and tights.
Everything can be made out of and transformed by this distinctive fabric.
What do you think about it?
I personally like it, especially in its less “serious” version, and matched with something less classic.
I haven’t been able to resist it and have welcomed this print with my arms wide open, with some houndstooth accessories that make a difference: a statement bag and a pair of tights, accessories that underline my individuality and make me look ladylike and somewhat retro-inspired.
