In nessuna città sinora visitata ho trovato tanti contrasti.
Quartieri
spoglie e fatiscenti, persone distinte e uomini d’affari camminano accanto
a donne e uomini trasandati.

Casablanca is probably one of the only cities in the world that could have a luxury hotel and a slum side by side on the same postcard.
The entire country’s social rift is enormous.
Today I’m walking throught the streets of the district of Anfa, one of the city’s richest areas, whose palm trees and huge gates make it look almost like Beverly Hills.
Here, Casablanca’s rich people under the limelight while the city is home to 6.3 million people living in poverty.
Anfa is the posh district of Casablanca, full of beautiful villas and gardens.

It’s clean, nice and very close to a long stretch of beach and a waterside promenade.
If you’re lucky enough to live here you will wake up to the view and sounds of the Atlantic every day.
Its in vogue bars and foodie hangouts give the impression of a city in southern Europe.
In this urban area is normal to see young ladies clad in branded products and men brandishing suit, ties, and satchels.
The veil is hardly observed here, and the blending of men and ladies is the most open of anyplace in the country.
In this part of the city, getting a glimpse of a man in a djellaba or a donkey pulling a cart of vegetables are impossible.
There’s most likely Casablanca does not have the appeal of some different urban areas and districts, yet taken for what it is, this present day city could be viewed as a genuine impression of today’s Morocco.
I’m wearing a bronze maxi dress with black leather accessories, while I soak up the views with a drink in hand.
