Always one of the most fascinating cities in North Africa.
Here is where two faces, apparently irreconcilable, coexist: the tradition that sinks its customs and habits in ancient times and a more western lifestyle that is found in the many boutiques, luxury hotels, restaurants and in a certain worldliness that you breathe in its different neighborhoods.
Great Berber metropolis, Marrakech has had the honor of being an imperial city and its great past is witnessed by the sumptuous buildings that contribute to making it the Moroccan tourist capital.
The call of the muezzin punctuates at precise hours the rhythms of the days that take place beneath the high minaret of the Koutoubia, symbol of the city, which with its seventy meters is the tallest building and the reference point because it is visible from a long time far.
After spending a few hours in the alleys of the souks of the Medina, with the nostrils filled with spicy smells and exotic essences, when the sunset is approaching, I return to the Palmeraie, the beautiful residential area a few kilometers away from the ancient lively historical city center. With the large expanses of palms that can be visited on the back of a camel and the profile of the high Atlas Mountains and the desert of Sahara in the distance, home to the most luxurious hotels, but which retain all the typical local essence.
To relax and fully enjoy the magic of the city, to live an unforgettable experience.
I find it almost impossible to be able to hold back the emotions that this journey has made me try, I have difficulty in restraining the reflections, to prevent the pen to run away chasing the memory.Stay tuned if you want to find out more about Marrakech, a fascinating, dynamic and always moving city.
Spring and autumn are definitely the best times to visit the city, thus avoiding excessive summer temperatures and crowds of tourists. I’m wearing only a maxi dress and a denim jacket, while the piece that embellishes the whole outfit is the statement necklace from the Okta collection by EI.EL jewels. A pendant with stones and inserts in gold and silver, a unique jewel, like any crafted creation, which comes from the skilled hands of Alessandra Laviano.
